  2. Hi Jim — I’m not sure how I “reblogged” this, but I tried. It didn’t post to my blog but maybe it went to FB? This is a new “feature” I’ve not heard of before. I like it. Is this your contest? I will let my teen writers know about it. I’m speaking about HOW TO WRITE FAST Monday evening so you’re ears might be ringing around 6:30 pm. I added a few things about how to overcome different “types” of writer’s block. I’ll have to share them with you soon. (For your book.) Happy Mother’s Day! Michelle

  3. No, it’s not my contest. I “met” Laura Thomas, a Canadian writer and writing mentor, on Twitter. The contest is connected with a young authors’ writing conference in British Columbia. I like to encourage young writers any way I can.

Glad to hear about your talk on Monday. I’m well along with the new ebook on writing fast, and I’m discovering and adding new stories and quotes about writing. I just learned the fascinating story about how RLS wrote the first draft of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in three days. Wow! I’m also expanding the ebook content by adding some additional insights about “writing in the zone.” Again, thanks for your encouragement to write this book. I’m planning to make it the first of a series of “quick-start” books on writing.

Eager to hear your writer’s block thoughts. Yes, the old block does come in different shapes, sizes, and colors, and results from an array of causes. I have never written much about the root causes of writer’s block, only the solutions.

Happy Mother’s Day to you! And wishing you joy throughout the year, Michelle. God bless you.
